While we interviewed several brokers who deal with sf apartment buildings, it was clear from first meeting that jay stood head and shoulders above anyone else we had spoken with and had extensive knowledge of the sf apartment market; the depth and breadth of the research he had done in advance of our meeting, his obviously well-informed assessment of pricing and impressive marketing plan, his willingness to spend hours of his time presenting his proposal, (including lengthy drives to the south bay to meet all the principals involved with the property), all spoke to someone who was willing to go the “extra mile,” both literally and figuratively. The building was part of an llc that involved multiple family members, which meant that jay needed to interact on a regular basis with a number of different people. He never stinted in his efforts, and his strong interpersonal skills resulted in each member of the llc feeling that his/her particular questions, concerns, etc., were given full attention. To say the sale went smoothly is an understatement. Jay priced the building perfectly, and it sold over asking price when the first round of bids came in - with no contingencies! There were a few unexpected situations that arose with the building itself during escrow; jay handled everything - interacting with property managers, contractors, etc., with complete equanimity, continuing to guide us through to the successful conclusion of the sale . I honestly cannot commend jay highly enough. He has the deep gratitude of my entire family, all of whom feel extraordinarily lucky to have been referred to him.
